The Belgian International performed fantastically netting 2 goals and registering an assist to his teammate Pedro in the UEFA Europa League 2018-2019. If this were his final game for Chelsea, which it strongly would be, this would be “an incredible way to sign off”, as Squawka Football tweeted.
He has made his mind up on joining Real Madrid and he waits as the two clubs make an agreement. Chelsea has placed a €150m (£118m) price tag on him but with Zidane’s €500m budget, there shouldn’t be any further financial-related problems between the two club presidents. He was close to sealing the deal just after his spectacular world cup performance for Belgium but now his dream may soon be a reality.
Captain of Real Madrid and the Spain National team Sergio Ramos eagerly waits for his arrival and the completion of the transfer. Moreover, Real Madrid are ready to give Hazard the iconic number 7 which used to be worn by Cristiano Ronaldo and now Mariano Díaz, however his failure to meet the season objectives results in him being stripped of the jersey number. Hazard will definitely not be given the number 10 from Luka Modric, but I guess to fill in the shoes of one of the greatest footballers out there is good enough if not better.
Replacing the void left by Ronaldo is close to success, replacing Hazard in Chelsea would probably be a mammoth task for the club as there are reports on their manager Maurizio Sarri being linked to Juventus and their young talents Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek currently recovering from their leg injuries. Moreover the transfer ban imposed by FIFA forces them to focus on training their youth and the 42 players on loan should they return back to Stamford Bridge.
There will be more updates in the future that I would like to keep you posted later on. I believe he would be the Los Blancos game changer, but hopefully Real Madrid will perform better in the Champions League in particular.
